The City Manager of the City of Ekurhuleni, Mr Kagiso Lerutla, returned to Daveyton waste depot today, 3 February 2026 where he announced that the workers change rooms and ablution facilities will undergo a makeover to give practical effect to the Fixing the Frontline Programme.
Workers were also provided with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The city manager ended the visit at Etwatwa customer care centre to engage the management of the centre.
The City Manager, Mr Lerutla’s visit was a continuation of a series of frontline interventions to improve operations, prioritise staff concerns, filling critical vacancies, and ensuring resources are in place.
Yesterday, 2 March 2026, he visited Thomas Nkobi Memorial Site in Boksburg to engage workers and get a first-hand account of their working conditions and how to improve the service they provide to the residents.
