The City of Tshwane hosted the How to Do Business with the City Roadshow at Mandela Hall in Hammanskraal on Saturday, 22 August 2026.

The event provided entrepreneurs and business owners with an opportunity to learn how to access opportunities, strengthen their businesses and unlock their potential to do business with the City.
The roadshow formed part of the City of Tshwane's ongoing commitment to supporting local economic development and ensuring that all businesses, particularly those owned by the youth, women and entrepreneurs in townships, have access to opportunities available through the City. By sharing practical information and guidance, the City aims to remove barriers that may prevent businesses from participating in procurement opportunities and contributing to economic growth.
"We realised that many business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs were not aware of the processes to follow in order to do business with the City. It was therefore important for us to bring this information directly to communities so that more people can benefit from the opportunities available. As a caring and developmental City, we want to ensure that no one is left behind because of a lack of information," said the Deputy Executive Mayor, Cllr Eugene Modise.
The roadshow reaffirmed the City of Tshwane's commitment to creating an inclusive economy by equipping local businesses with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed. Through initiatives such as these, the City continues to bridge information gaps, empower entrepreneurs and create pathways for greater participation in the local economy.
