King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality today handed over 17 completed temporary structures to 17 beneficiaries from Ward 10.

The 17 completed structures form part of 37 temporary structures allocated to families in Ward 10 who were affected by the devastating floods of 10 June 2025.

This intervention forms part of the Municipality’s ongoing efforts, together with government stakeholders, to support families affected by disasters by providing safe temporary shelter while the provision of permanent RDP houses is still underway, helping to restore their dignity, safety and hope.

During the handover at Ezigadini Village in Ward 10, the Human Settlements Portfolio Head, Cllr N. Sibeko, highlighted the continued collaboration between KSD Municipality and the Provincial and National Governments in responding to the needs of families affected by the floods. Through this joint effort, more than 1,000 temporary shelters have been provided to flood-affected families across the KSD area.

KSD Municipality remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities and ensuring that those affected by disasters receive the assistance they need to rebuild their lives.
