Midvaal Local Municipality achieved outstanding recognition at the prestigious 2025 PMR.africa Golden Arrow Awards. The Municipality received three awards in the Local Government Initiatives category, namely:
Gold – For municipalities doing the most for job creation and attracting tourism.
Gold – For municipalities doing the most to clean the environment, develop and enhance infrastructure and to fight crime.
Diamond (1st overall)- for social upliftment, attracting foreign and local investment The Executive Mayor, Alderman Peter Teixeira, received the Diamond (1st overall)Outstanding award for Pro-active Mayors.
The PMR.africa Awards recognise institutions that have demonstrated excellence in service delivery and hard work. Midvaal Local Municipality is honoured to receive these awards and recognition, as we consistently strive to deliver excellent services, remain innovative, enhance infrastructure, and uplift our region.
