We have recently been made aware of fraudulent activities targeting potential bidders. Scammers are impersonating City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) as officials and attempting to deceive suppliers into providing sensitive information or making fraudulent payments. The scammers are now cloning CoE employees email addresses to send request for quotations.
Bidders are urged to be vigilant and take note of the following:
Always verify communication by visiting the physical offices or using contact details indicated below.
Watch for red flags such as unfamiliar email addresses and contact numbers used. City does not send RFQ to bidders directly.
Immediately report any suspicious activity claiming to be from City of Ekurhuleni.
