A burst 1 000 mm HDPE water pipe behind the Gautrain station has interrupted water supply to parts of the Pretoria central business district (CBD) and nearby areas.
The City of Tshwane repair team is on site, excavating to expose the damaged pipe and preparing to carry out repairs.

The estimated restoration time is not yet available. The City will provide an update once more information is confirmed.
Water tankers are being arranged to assist the affected residents. Water collection points will be communicated once they are confirmed. Customers who still have water are urged to store enough for essential use and to use it sparingly.
The City of Tshwane apologises for the inconvenience caused by this unplanned interruption and thanks customers for their patience.
